Means I can only concentrate on my cosplaying “to do” list during the weekends. And even trying to concentrate on it is a stretch. I have been meeting two or more groups of friends every saturday to catch up, and I’m the only one working so its only the weekends free. I really admire those working full time who manage to make their own costumes and props and still have a life. I need that work life balance! Most of my costumes need to be remade and altered – thats gonna take plenty of time… yikes!

I have very bright ideas (I think) on how to make the props and they are very high level props for a newbie like me. The materials are waiting in a dusty corner of my room and I hope I can post up my methods if they succeed. haha.. think I’m still more of an accessories person at the end of the day.

Lucky for kippy and the kiddies to help me! (though kippy is turning into a kid too..just look at his cap) I’m turning old in comparison to them! ARG!!!!!! But my face apparently doesn’t suit chibi chars, thank goodness I don’t like to cosplay chibi characters.  

Not going to list out plans until I’m certain that it can be done. Sighs. =(

But on a brighter note, my remade costume seems to be doing great, just need that hulk of an instrument. D:

Well, I first started cosplaying during July, at Cosfest. Seems that I didn’t fail, so the encouraging first experience was enough to get me hooked onto cosplay. There are always areas to improve and improve further…like learn how to sew dresses, for one. I only how to make jewellery and construct simple props…sighs.

I have been wanting to start cosplay….since….well revealing when would reveal my age, so..take it that it has been quite a few years. Unfortunately or fortunately, because of my age, I can’t cosplay for very long….but I can deal with what friends call the dangers of cosplay. 

Now this sounds depressing. And I shall talk about it more in detail when I’m ready ( and when the other few readers are ready). So far, it can be said that it hasn’t been entirely fun for me. There is the added stress when a lot of people view it as an informal competition. Secret fights to see who is the best, comparisons here and there – it sort of makes me wonder how different it is from the real world.

But I forget, even then, we are in the real world – and nowhere can we avoid this. Okay, this first post sounds frightfully sad and depressing. Rest assured that the rest will look better on a sunny day, when all’s bright and cheerful =)
